Romans 1:17 AMP 

For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.  

 

The just shall live by faith. You were saved by faith (from faith), you must live by faith (to faith). For a Christian, faith should not be an option but a way of life. We got saved by believing with our hearts and confessing with our mouth. Similarly, in our daily faith walk, we have to believe with our hearts and confess what we believe. 

 

Every Christian has faith. That’s how we were saved. You believed the God you did not see. We need to use the same faith to continue believing God everyday of our lives. 

 

1 John 5:4-5 NIV 

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.  

 

Hebrews 11:1-3 | AMPC 

1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, [O]the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].2 For by [faith–trust and holy fervor born of faith] the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report.3 By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible. 

 

The things we see we’re not made out of things which are visible. They were created by the Word 

 

John 1:1-3 | KJV 

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 

 

Faith is leaning entirely on God in absolute trust and confidence in His power and goodness. 

 

Hebrews 11:11 | AMP 

11 Because of faith also Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it, because she considered [God] Who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word. 

 

Luke 1:38 | KJV 

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her. 

 

Matthew 8:8-9 | KJV 

[8] The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. [9] For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.  

 

Romans 4:16-21 | KJV 

16 Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, 17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. 18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. 19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: 20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; 21 And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. 

 

Faith is being fully persuaded that what God has promised, he is able also to perform. 

 

We believe the report of the Lord. 

Faith comes by hearing the report of the Lord 

Acts 27:25 

So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told 

 

The most important attribute of the God kind of faith is that it speaks. God created all thing through the power of his word. He spoke things into existence. 

 

The word of faith is in your heart and in your mouth. You must speak the word stored in your heart. Speak the report of the Lord. 

 

 

2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV) 

[13] We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak. 

I believe the report of the Lord and I speak accordingly. I speak in line with God’s report. I do not speak my own words. I do not speak for Satan but for God. I don’t even speak like Satan but like God. God call things that are not as though they were. 

 

Job 22:28 (KJV) 

[28] Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways. 

 

Hebrews 10:23, 35-39  

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: “For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith; But if anyone draws back, My soul has no pleasure in him.” But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.  

 

Hebrews 11:5-6  

By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had taken him away.” For before he was taken, he was commended as one who pleased God. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
